Stand Still

We haven't been doing anything. We are finally getting a bit of sleep, but our energy is still zapped from getting over our colds. The dishes pile up and the laundry hangs on the line for a bit longer than needed, but we're having fun!

I've been slowly organizing my craft room, so there has not been any action in that department for a while. Also all baked goods are on hold as my large mixing bowl broke a few weeks ago. I am waiting for a nice big package containing a beautiful vintage, milk glass set to arrive! Until then we're just eating lots of fresh blueberries and bread! Not really the same as muffins, but still good!

Our garden is doing fairly well. The broad beans are covered in aphids and the lettuce is WAY too close together, but we have little green tomatoes and some nice looking peas on the vine!

Last night we took a mini vacation to the beach for a picnic dinner. We stayed out until it was almost dark! The boys ran and played, and we all had a great time splashing by the shore! We are really so lucky to live in such a beautiful spot! Maybe we should plan a week's vacation at home?!

In the next few weeks we have a few things planned. Trips to the Gulf Islands, Vancouver twice and maybe some down time at home. Also I am to start sewing the dresses for the bridesmaids in my sisters wedding. Other than that we are just taking it easy and trying not to get too wrapped up in "to do" lists around the house!
